When you view a forecast, the coordinates of the place you're asking about are sent to our servers solely to fetch that forecast. If you use the "weather where I am now" view, your device's location is used the same way. Location is never stored on our servers and never associated with you or any identity — forecast data is cached by place, not by person.
Trips you build are stored on your device. If you choose to sign in, your trips are also stored on our servers, keyed to your account, so they sync across your devices and survive a lost phone. Signing in is optional — the app works fully without an account.
We collect a randomly generated, anonymous install identifier and basic usage events (for example, which screens are used) to understand what's working and what isn't. This identifier is not linked to your identity, and the data is never sold or shared with anyone.
Trip insights are generated on our servers from your trip's forecast and destination names. Results are cached by place and forecast — never by person — and your trip data is not used to train any AI model.
If you turn on weather alerts, your device's push token and your alert preferences are stored on our servers so we can send you those notifications. Turning alerts off, or deleting your account, removes them. Trip reminders and daily briefings are scheduled on your device and involve no server storage.
If the app crashes, a crash report (device model, OS version, and what the app was doing) is sent to Sentry, our crash-reporting service, so we can fix the bug. Crash reports don't include your trips or your location history.
If you sign in, we receive the name and email Apple shares (you can choose to hide your email). We use them only to create and operate your account — nothing else. There is no email marketing.
Premium subscriptions are billed by Apple through your App Store account. We never see your payment details. Subscription status is validated through Apple and our billing provider (RevenueCat).
You can delete your account and all synced data at any time, in the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent. Trips stored only on your device are removed by deleting the app.
Weather providers receive only the coordinates and dates needed to return a forecast — never who asked. Our servers run on Amazon Web Services. Crash reports go to Sentry, and subscription receipts to RevenueCat, each only for the purpose described above. That's the whole list — no ad networks, no data brokers.
